NASW-MD will devote the first day of the two day conference as a Day of Intensives. The topic will be: The Grand Challenges for Social Workers in Maryland, and the Keynote Address will be presented by Richard Barth, Ph.D., Dean of UMD School of Social Work. During the Thursday morning segment there will be no break-out sessions, but there will be 4 afternoon workshops to choose from. On Friday attendees will convene together breifly before attending one of 6 workshop choices in the morning and another 6 workshops in the afternoon and will earn 6 CEUS for the day. As always, our highlight on Friday is the annual award ceremony presentation during lunch, where we will honor fellow social workers and a public citizen who have made outstanding contributions to the field of Social work
